Ambassador of Elegance Eddie Peng in St. Imier for a visit of the brand’s museum during its 185th Anniversary

The Swiss watch brand Longines was delighted to welcome its Ambassador of Elegance Eddie Peng in St. Imier for a visit of the company during its 185th Anniversary, and specifically of the Longines Museum, which retraces the fascinating history of the brand across the ages.

Accompanied by Longines Vice President and Head of International Marketing Juan-Carlos Capelli, the Asian superstar had the opportunity to discover some emblematic watch models, navigational instruments and timing devices, as well as a range of exceptional photographs, posters, films and archive records in exhibition.

Eddie Peng commented: “I am thrilled to be in St. Imier to visit Longines for the very first time since I joined the Longines family of Ambassadors of Elegance. I am very impressed by the brand’s rich and fascinating history and there is no wonder Longines cherishes it so deeply. Being associated with a brand boasting one of the greatest heritages of the Swiss watchmaking industry, and driven by the values of tradition, elegance and performance since its very beginning, is a great honour for me.”

In 2017, the Swiss watch brand Longines is celebrating its 185th anniversary. In order to mark this special occasion, Longines Singapore will be organising two exhibitions. The Longines 185th Anniversary Exhibition will be held from 17 to 23 October at Marina Square and subsequently from 13 to 19 November at VivoCity.

For the first time in Singapore, vintage timepieces from the Longines Museum, specially selected by the curator will make its presence in the exhibition, alongside information panels and interactive displays that will retrace the history of the brand from its birth in 1832 to the present day.
