Red Riding soles

AAlas! If only she could get her hands on them. Through serpent alleyways and up winding staircases, she darts in desperate search of the red. Leaving her shadow behind, she breaks into a sprint, when suddenly she hears the knock of stilettos cross her path. A beam of red here, a flash of scarlet there! She knows not who she chases but knows what she pursues. An unforeseen but welcomed dead end and she finds herself face-to face with her catch. She sees not the face of the lady but notices the deadly red soles gleam at her.
