Palimpsest

The newest incarnation of Longchamp’s signature Le Pliage bag is out! In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of France’s Association for the Development of Fashion Arts (ANDAM), an association which promotes French and international fashion talent, Longchamp has commissioned three limited-edition remakes of the enduring Le Pliage bag. “Here are three styles, three ideas, three ambiances that refl ect the diversity which is ANDAM’s misson to nurture,” says Nathalie Dufour, head of ANDAM.

The first Le Pliage is designed by Jeremy Scott who places a portrait of himself as a modern samurai on the bag while Charles Anastase treats the bag as an art canvas, poetically sketching a pair of ballet shoes and Persian cats.
