Red Riding soles

AAlas! If only she could get her hands on them. Through serpent alleyways and up winding staircases, she darts in desperate search of the red. Leaving her shadow behind, she breaks into a sprint, when suddenly she hears the knock of stilettos cross her path. A beam of red here, a flash of scarlet there!
