JW Marriott Singapore South Beach Officially Opens

The highly anticipated JW Marriott Singapore South Beach officially opened its doors on 24th March with a Grand Opening Party.

Over 800 invited guests turned up to mark the occasion.

JW Marriott Singapore South Beach’s Grand Opening was officiated with a ribbon cutting ceremony graced by Guest of Honour, Dr. Koh Poh Koon, Minister of State, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Trade & Industry, alongside Mr. Kwek Leng Beng, Exceutive Chairman of Hong Leong Group and City Developments Limited, Tan Sri Dato’ Lee Shin Cheng, Executive Chairman of IOI Group, Mr. Craig S. Smith, President and Managing Director of Asia Pacific, Marriott International and Mr. Derek Flint, General Manager of JW Marriott Singapore South Beach.

Hosted by local TV host, Anita Kapoor, the ribbon cutting ceremony and lion dancers kick-started the evening’s celebration for esteemed guests, who were treated to a dazzling Forest of Lights showcase in the Grand Ballroom, live jazz and classical music; stilt walkers and a culinary journey around the stylish JW Marriott Singapore South Beach.

As a preview of the exceptional JW Marriott culinary experiences, the culinary journey showcases the property’s unique dining concepts and authentic cuisine at Akira Back, Beach Road Kitchen, Court Martial Bar and NCO Club.

Guests were also kept entertained throughout the night with additional highlight performances, including a captivating mermaid show, soulful performances belted out by jazz singer Dawn Ho and a set played by DJ Has at the NCO Club.

Notable guests including Alicia Lok, Celina Lin, Chiang Yu Lan, Chan Kok Weng, Elaine Lim-Chan, Fiona Fussi, Glibert Cheah, Jean Danker, Marilyn Lum, Sheila Sim, Tan Min-Li were in attendance.
